Project Planning 101 is a structured training programme designed to take junior planners from zero to confident — without touching a single piece of software until they understand the logic behind it.
Every module builds on the last, using a consistent example — the EPC Tower Build Simulation — so participants always see exactly how theory applies to practice. By the end, they can build a complete project plan by hand and explain every decision.

THE COURSE PRINCIPLE — PROJECT PLANNING 101
The EPC Tower Build Simulation
Participants act as Project Planners in a real EPC environment. Using a magnetic construction kit, they plan, procure, build, and commission the tallest stable tower possible — within budget, within time, and to specification.
Every planning decision has a cost consequence (£100/minute). Every dependency they miss shows up immediately in the build. Every risk they didn’t plan for becomes a real problem. It’s the most effective 60–90 minutes in the course.
